Gift Aid is a form of tax relief and, as a charity, we are able to claim back the tax on your admission to the Museum as we can class your admission as a “charitable donation”. We can claim back Gift Aid on your “donation” as long as you have agreed to pay the higher admission price that includes an additional 10% donation.
Regulations laid down by His Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC) require all charitable attractions to ask visitors for an additional 10% donation on their admission before Gift Aid can be claimed. By claiming Gift Aid on your donation we will gain an additional 25p for every £1 you have given us. This money will help fund our valuable charitable work.
For our annual pass, which is classed as membership of the museum, we are able to claim Gift Aid on the entire amount, which means 25% of the total price is claimable by us in Gift Aid.
We are in the process of upgrading our payment provider as we know visitors are confused by the PayPal option. Please note, you do not have to have a PayPal account and you can pay by debit or credit card by clicking the button at the bottom. The payment is processed by PayPal, but you do not need to have a PayPal account.
