It is always nice to catch up with relatives of those who flew from Tangmere, and last Friday was no exception. Talking to a couple of visitors; Lee Seaborne, and his fiancé Gemma Pullen, They told me that his great-grandfather had flown from Tangmere and did we have any pictures of 238 Squadron?
I asked for more information and was taken round to the Battle of Britain Hall where Eric Seabourne had his story on a panel.
Sadly, there are, as far as I know, no pictures of 238 Squadron, but enquiries are ongoing. But the couple enthused about Eric Seaborne and then discovered that on a panel nearby was Sgt William Silver. It is entirely possible that he is also related to Lee Seaborne, through his mother’s side of the family. More investigations to be done!
