A new plaque in memory of the Museum’s late Chairman, Group Captain David Baron, has been placed in the Garden of Remembrance.
A short service of dedication conducted by the Museum’s Honorary Chaplain, the Rev’d Trevor Marshall, was attended by members of David’s family and Museum staff including those who had been involved in repainting the Museum’s Phantom, XV408, in the markings of No 6 Squadron.
David had flown this aircraft 19 times during his time with 228 OCU and No 6 Squadron including the flypast at Caernarfon Castle during the Investiture of the Prince of Wales in 1969.
